Automatically Skipping Voicemail Connects

Last updated: September 24, 2026

When parallel dialing with Nooks you will automatically skip voicemails and Nooks will complete any actions configured in your automatic voicemail settings.

When parallel dialing skips a voicemail for you, Nooks logs the call automatically with one of your workspace's mapped dispositions:

Left Voicemail: a voicemail is set up for this sequence step, and Nooks detected the voicemail beep and dropped the voicemail.

No Answer: no voicemail is set up for the step, or the voicemail could not be dropped (for example, no beep was detected before the call ended). Your admin chooses which dispositions count as Left Voicemail and No Answer in the Dialer Mapping settings.

If you are power dialing (1 call at a time), Skip Voicemails is on by default in your Dialing Mode settings, so Nooks automatically skips answering machines and only connects you to live answers. If you turn Skip Voicemails off, Nooks connects you to every answered call, including voicemails, so you can leave a voicemail yourself.

If you click Hang Up, you will NOT leave a voicemail, and Nooks pauses your dialing session. Click Start Calling when you're ready to continue. If you click Next Call instead, Nooks ends this call and moves straight on to the next one without pausing.

You may be connected with a voicemail when parallel dialing when a voicemail sounds like someone picking up the phone. This is done to ensure that prospects are not skipped in error
